Beautiful territory with plenty of activities available - even during a snowy spring. The staff and cuisine at the inn are excellent. However, the rooms could use some improvement. Sound insulation between rooms is quite poor, so if you happen to have noisy neighbors, you will hear everything. The heating system in our room was also inconsistent: it worked perfectly the first night but stopped working on the second. Additionally, when lying next to the wall, you can clearly hear water running through the pipes from the neighboring room.

What a wedding weekend dream come true! The venue was close enough to home, yet had that relaxing, vacation-like feel of a true destination wedding. Christina was an absolute pleasure to work with — she responded to every email quickly (no matter the time of day!) and was always open to our ideas for the Friday night welcome dinner. She coordinated seamlessly with all of our vendors, ensuring everything came together perfectly for our wedding day. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the incredible bar service, the delicious meals, and of course, the stunning location. It was the perfect weekend in every way, and we couldn’t have asked for a better venue to celebrate our special day. Thank you so much Sherwood Team ! V & A

We stayed at Sherwood Inn in Muskoka for two nights, from Friday to Sunday, and had a wonderful experience. The location is absolutely amazing, peaceful, scenic, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Room service was very good, and the staff throughout the hotel were extremely polite, friendly, and always ready to help. You really feel welcomed here. A special shoutout to the guy at the bar, he was awesome! Super polite, very helpful, and happy to share information about the beers and liquor. You can tell he truly loves his job, which made the experience even better. The hotel amenities were great as well. I really enjoyed the outdoor activities, especially the trails. I went skiing and snowshoeing, which was a lot of fun. Overall, a fantastic stay. I would definitely recommend Sherwood Inn and would love to come back again.

This was our first winter experience at Shereood in. The rooms, furniture and carpeting are getting a little dated. I hope they are planning a renovation soon because we love spending time here. In the winter the scenery is magic. Not much to do here in the winter. We went cross country skiing and hiking. Lots of fun. They really need to replace all of the really old skis and ski boots. Especially since they are charging $88 per stay for these amenities.

The rooms here are absolutely fabulous- each one is a little different and unique so it’s truly like having your own cottage for your stay. I never request a specific room and every room for the last 7 years has been fabulous. The beds are incredibly comfortable and everything is always spotlessly clean. It says a lot about a business when you come back year after year and see the same smiling faces behind the desk, Karina is the best, or at the bar in the main inn. The food in the dining room is excellent, and it’s a short drive into Port Carling for other dining and shopping options. Pristine lake Joseph, gorgeous foliage and exceptional service. You won’t want for a thing at Sherwood inn!

We had an absolutely wonderful three-day stay at Sherwood Inn!!! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, everything was just amazing. The staff were incredibly nice and welcoming, and the food was absolutely delicious. Plus, the sunsets over there were just breathtaking—the view was so amazing!! Honestly, we’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a fantastic and scenic getaway!

We attended the New Years dinner and stayed in a private cottage, the Robinwood. Everyone was excellent in terms of service and dinner was quite good with a variety of dishes available in the four course meal. Would have been nice to have some champagne but not a deal breaker. The music duo was good but we did not stay long really. Robinwood cottage is a short walk to the main inn and has its own dock access(we did not use this as it was -23) and a fireplace and a little fridge. The pictures online are pretty accurate and the king bed is comfortable. Suggestion: Sherwood should consider putting a winter boot tray or mat in the front doorway- before we realized it, our winter boots leaked water and we had to walk through it to get from the bedroom to the bathroom. Comments: the sink in the bathroom does not seem to give anything but super cold water . However the shower was great for hot water so there is that! Also there are some nice perks(heat lamp, built In hair dryer, jacuzzi gets but it would take a while to fill up so we did not use that). Some of the carpet was a bit tired and stained and there are some minor holes in the curtains but nothing earth shattering and the place was generally quite clean- even the lamp shades and overhead lamps were done! We had to ask for some dry wood since what was in our little wood hut was frozen and quite wet but the front desk was accommodating and quick to get us kindling and wood. Nice touch to have coffee/ hot chocolate and cookies in the main lobby and a fire 24/7 out front. We really enjoyed our few nights here.

Our stay at Sherwood Inn was made truly special thanks to Jonathan, the Food & Beverage Manager. He is so much more than his job title suggests—a true jack-of-all-trades. Whether he was overseeing the dining experience, helping us out on the skating rink, or literally jump-starting our car when we were stuck, he did it all with a professional and helpful attitude. It’s rare to find that level of dedication. Jonathan made our experience exceptional
